7-8 October, Vilnius, Lithuania
📍 Radisson Blu Lietuva
Manage your registration
How do I register?
No invitation is needed – everyone is welcome to request attendance at #Disinfo2026. If your request is approved, you will be notified via email with details on how to process your participation fee.
While the registration deadline is 22 September, we encourage you to register as soon as possible. Due to high demand and limited seating, tickets may run out.
What does it cost?
To maintain the quality and independence of the conference, there’s a nominal registration fee. In an era where many services claim to be “free” often turning users into the “product”, we strive to align with our ideals of independence and authentic freedom of speech. This approach ensures that our conference reflects our values.
The Early Bird registration fee is 150 EUR (excluding VAT) for civil society members, academics, and journalists, and 280 EUR (excluding VAT) for government and corporate attendees. This fee will increase to respectively 180 EUR and 330 EUR from 2 June 2026, and to 230 EUR and 390 EUR for late registrations from 23 September 2026.
Following feedback from previous conferences, we have decided to offer free tickets to speakers from civil society organisations, academia, and the media.
What do I need to know about VAT?
Why am I paying a VAT on the registration fee?
You are paying a Value Added Tax (VAT) on the registration fee because it is required by the laws and regulations of the EU and its Member States. They establish that VAT must be paid on the fees in the country where the meeting is held.
Can the VAT be recovered?
Possibly. Only companies from the European Union and from Armenia, Canada, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey can claim back the Lithuanian VAT. To recover the VAT, you must provide the details of your company – name, address, VAT number or Tax ID – for all expense invoices and submit all original documentation to your company for its processing.
Pay attention that the VAT refund on certain expenses like the purchase or lease of a passenger car or transport of passengers by cars are not accepted by the Lithuanian Tax Administration.
VAT can be only partially recovered (50%) on entertainment and representation expenses.
What process should companies follow to recover the VAT?
European Union Companies
EU companies must contact the Tax Administration of their own country for instructions regarding the conditions and process to follow for reclaiming the Lithuanian VAT. There are also minimum VAT amounts that must be met.
For the refund applications for one to three quarters by an EU company the minimum amount is EUR 400. If the refund application relates to a refund period of a calendar year or the remainder of a calendar year, the amount of VAT may not be less than EUR 50. Please note that these amounts refer to ALL the VAT from the expenses incurred FROM ALL ITS EMPLOYEES in Lithuania for this meeting and any other business-related VAT incurred in Lithuania.
Non-European Union Companies
The Non-EU companies must file VAT refund claim no later than June 30th after expiry of the calendar year in which VAT was charged.
The application is made on Form FR0445, issued by the Lithuanian tax authorities. It must be completed in either Lithuanian or English and in Euro.
The form and supporting documentation must be brought or sent to:
Vilniaus apskrities valstybine mokesciu inspekcija Ulonu st. 2
LT-08245 VILNIUS
Lithuania
T: + 370 5 268 7621
F: + 370 5 262 1906
There are also minimum VAT amounts that must be met. The VAT refund must be at least € 400, This does not apply if the refund period is a calendar year or the end of a calendar year. For these refund periods the amount to be refunded must be at least € 50. Please note that these amounts refer to ALL the VAT from the expenses incurred FROM ALL ITS EMPLOYEES in Lithuania for this meeting and any other business-related VAT incurred in Lithuania.
Note that the application must include a statement (certificate) issued by a competent authority of a foreign state confirming that the foreign taxable person is registered as a VAT (or any equivalent tax) payer in that foreign state.
Will I receive an invoice?
After you purchase your ticket, you will receive a confirmation email with a receipt. The invoice will be sent to you in the following weeks to the same email address. (Make sure to check the spam folder of your mailbox.)
Will I get a badge?
Your individual badge will be sent by email prior to the conference, allowing you to print it in colour before the event.

How do I manage or cancel my participation?
If you are unable to attend the conference, please cancel your participation (see Terms and Conditions), and we will then notify participants on the waiting list. We keep track of no-shows – if you were granted access but didn’t attend, and did not notify us, your future registrations might be put on hold.
Can journalists cover the conference?
Yes, absolutely – we’d love to see media coverage of #Disinfo2026. If you’re working for a media outlet or freelancing on a mission, you’re very welcome to get involved. If you’re in a position to do so, we kindly encourage you to register as a participant to support the event.
