The EDMO BELUX II project aims to:
- uncover disinformation
point to trustworthy sources of information - help develop diverse digital media offerings
- strengthen inclusive citizen-minded attitudes
- keep political, foreign and tech actors accountable for their actions
The project aims to continue and enrich the work started in the “forerunner project”, EDMO BELUX I, completed in March 2024.The project EDMO BELUX II broadens and deepens the first iteration of this multidisciplinary and multistakeholder network, building on a strong track record of detecting, analysing and exposing emerging harmful disinformation relevant to the Belgian/Luxembourgish context. The consortium brings together leading research teams, news agencies, disinformation analysts, industry partners, public institutions and CSOs to monitor and mitigate disinformation in Belgium and Luxembourg.
The European Digital Media Observatory for Belgium and Luxembourg (EDMO BELUX) is a multidisciplinary hub for research on digital media and disinformation in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Lunch Lecture #1: Understand the digital practices: what are young people doing online? #Generation2024 (18 JUNE)
The survey “Generation2024” took place from October to December 2023. More than 3700 primary and secondary school students from French-speaking Belgium responded to a questionnaire addressing different aspects of their digital life. The massive presence of digital technologies fuels many fantasies and alarmist speeches.
