Monetizing Misogyny: How does media spread gender-based disinformation & hate online in Italy & Hungary?

On Tuesday, March 21, from 3:30 to 4:30PM CET, EU DisinfoLab co-hosted a webinar with #ShePersisted, an organisation that works to end gendered disinformation and abuse against women in public life.

Lucina Di Meco, Co-Founder of #ShePersisted, Anna Fejős, Researcher at the Institute for Sociology, Center for Social Sciences, Budapest, and Maria Giovanna Sessa, Senior Researcher at EU DisinfoLab presented the latest findings of the “Monetizing Misogyny” study, with a focus on the role of media in spreading online hate and gender-based disinformation in Italy & Hungary.
