This webinar presents the results of a research conducted by Margot Fulde-Hardy on foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI) campaigns targeting elections from 2014 to 2024. Margot presents the methodology used to build a dataset and analyse each campaign, using the DISARM Framework. She then shares the main results obtained regarding FIMI trends targeting elections.

Margot is a consultant based in New York City focusing on FIMI and Election Integrity. Prior to creating her own business, she was employed at VIGINUM, the French Agency to Counter Foreign Digital Interference. She is also the writer of the newsletter ‘Covertly Yours’ on Substack.

Maria Giovanna Sessa, EU DisinfoLab

Maria Giovanna Sessa is the Research Manager at EU DisinfoLab. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and has previously worked for research foundations, think tanks, and as a university teaching assistant. Her research interests focus on the use of disinformation in political communication, gender-based attacks, and international crises, including FIMI. Lately, she has been working around DSA enforcement, linking research and policy implementation.
