4 May | Registrations are now open for #Disinfo2026! We encourage you to register early to secure your spot.

Dear colleagues,

Registrations are now open for #Disinfo2026!

Our annual conference will take place on 7–8 October in Radisson Blu Lietuva, Vilnius, Lithuania, with pre-conference workshops on 6 October.

From analysing disinformation to confronting it

This year’s conference programme is designed to move the conversation from analysing disinformation to confronting it. The focus will be on practical responses, including solutions, disruption strategies, deterrence, and litigation, while including other relevant topics.

The 4-track programme will also include targeted sessions on OSINT investigations, funding for counter-disinformation work, and other practical approaches aimed at strengthening the ecosystem responding to information manipulation.

We are also excited to share that this year we are organising a film screening at the end of the first conference day.

Pre-conference workshops on 6 October will offer participants the opportunity to engage in more focused and interactive discussions ahead of the main conference. More information on the workshops will be shared in the coming weeks. Please take these into consideration when arranging your travel.

Spots are limited – secure yours early

To ensure a pleasant experience for all attendees, the conference will be limited to 650 participants. We therefore encourage you to register early to secure your spot. Tickets include access to all conference sessions and social events, as well as lunch and coffee breaks on 7-8 October.

Check the event page for more information on fees and deadlines.

Following feedback from previous conferences, we have decided to offer free tickets to speakers from civil society organisations, academia, and the media.

As the programme is still being finalised, not all speakers have yet been confirmed. If you purchase a ticket and are later confirmed as a speaker, we will unfortunately not be able to issue a refund, but you can request a complimentary ticket for #Disinfo2027.

Informal moments to connect and exchange

As in previous years, participants will have the opportunity to connect beyond the main programme. This includes an informal gathering on the eve of the conference, a guided walking tour, and a social event at the end of Day 1. Coffee breaks and lunches at the venue are designed as further moments to exchange and network.

Join us in Vilnius!

We look forward to welcoming you to Vilnius this October for three days of discussions, collaboration, and new ideas.

Registration opening date & programme information

8 April | The response to our call for proposals was overwhelming – we received more than 350 submissions (+60% compared to last year’s conference), with an impressive overall quality. Registrations will open on 4 May, and the early bird fee will be available from 4 May until the end of May.

Dear colleagues,

Our annual conference will be held on 7–8 October 2026 in Vilnius, Lithuania, with pre-conference workshops organised on 6 October.

Registrations will open on May 4th – may the Force be with us this year.

🗓️ ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

The response to our call for proposals was overwhelming – we received more than 350 submissions (+60% compared to last year’s conference), with an impressive overall quality. Thank you!

In the review process, we observed that many of the proposed topics seem to be influenced by current funding priorities and programme frameworks in the field. Relatively few submissions addressed developments in the United States, despite its major influence on the global information ecosystem – strikingly, Donald Trump was not mentioned once. Similarly, only a limited number of proposals focused on the Middle East, despite ongoing geopolitical tensions and information operations. This highlights the need to keep key global developments firmly on our radar and avoid self-censorship.

This year’s conference programme is being designed with a clear objective: move the conversation from analysing disinformation to confronting it. While previous editions have extensively explored how disinformation spreads and operates, the 2026 programme will place greater emphasis on solutions, disruption strategies, deterrence, litigation, and other concrete actions that can help shift the balance against disinformation actors.

This stronger focus on practical responses also reflects feedback received from participants after previous editions of the conference. Thank you to everyone who shared their suggestions and ideas.

Due to the exceptionally high volume of submissions, we will need a bit more time than initially planned to build the programme, to ensure that both the high-quality proposals received and other essential topics are included. If you submitted a proposal, rest assured that you will hear from us by the end of May.

🎫 ABOUT REGISTRATIONS

Please note that, due to the size of the venue and the growth of our conference, we will not be able to accept all registrations. Participation will be limited to 650 attendees to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.

The early bird fee will be available from 4 May until the end of May, so please plan accordingly.

We will notify you by email when registration opens. In the meantime, you can find more information and updates on our website and by following us on social media.

If you are interested in sponsoring the conference, please contact us at conference@disinfo.eu.

#Disinfo2025

On 15–16 October 2025, the counter-disinformation community reunited at Cankarjev Dom in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to continue exchanging ideas, learning, and collaborating.

Over the course of two days, #Disinfo2025 gathered leading specialists from varied backgrounds, tackling the most pressing issues in the disinformation landscape. It was a great opportunity to connect and learn from leading voices and stakeholders throughout the community, through a programme of insightful panel discussions, inspiring interviews, keynotes and workshops led by high-profile speakers, featuring four parallel tracks.
